Resolution of Oct. 3, 1699 by the assembly of deputies representing Québec, Montréal, and Trois Rivières, convened in the Château de St. Louis in Québec, to send deputies D'Auteuil, Juchereau, and Pascaud to France to obtain control of the beaver trade for the colony, the Canadians having rejected the reduced price scale for beaver suggested by the "fermiers" of the Domaine d'Occident who held a monopoly on purchasing the pelts.
